When you arrive at the HOD, the first thing you do is sign in. Your signature is required in order to participate.
If paying your RSPS Fee in cash please have the exact amount.

1. HOD opens: 5:00pm: teams arrive & get prepped

2. Q’s & A’s: 5:00pm-5:30pm: questions & discuss new/revised rules

3. Start: 5:30pm-5:40pm: draft positions established, all get set

4. Round 1: at 5:45pm: first NHL player is drafted. Draft rnds 1 - 4 completed.

5. Break: All break for 10-15 mins

6. Round Five: Drafting resumes: rnds 5 – 8 completed.

7. Intermission: All take a 15 minute break

8. Round Nine: Drafting resumes… rnds 9 - 12 completed.

9. Break: All break for 10-15 mins

10. Final Rounds: Drafting resumes… final rnds 13 – 16 completed.

11. The Close: Pay any bills, clean up, wish each other good luck & leave

The RSPS draft session takes place at a local bar/restaurant, referred to as the HOD (house of draft). The HOD is properly set up to accommodate all RSPS Teams at the session. The draft session is organized and uses practical methods to ensure the drafting of players is systematic and without delay. The drafting process is prompt and with time constraints. Do not hesitate to ask questions about the HOD, prior to, to help you be more prepared.
All Teams must attend the draft session or have someone represent them (ie substitute). Please notify THENHLJL if you are planning such arrangements. You cannot ask a participating RSPS Team to be your substitute. There are no exceptions. Teams should consider preparing for a substitute in case of any last minute emergency.
When Teams arrive at the HOD they each sign in. Each Team’s signature is required. Any Team that did not complete all required fields (why?) when registering online (ie; poolie-name) do so at this time. Rookies joining the RSPS complete the online registration form but do not make a payment online. Rookies’ registration fees are be paid at the HOD.

Team names should be original (& show some poolie-wit). Names are not to exceed 10 characters. Any number of spaces are accepted and numbers can be used as well (the name cannot begin with a number). Symbols are not accepted.

RSPS Team-name example: “I_WIN_POOLS_2”.

The HOD usually starts at 5:00pm. The HOD is usually set up and ready shortly before. Attending the HOD will be an administrator who records each draft selection. At 5:30pm Team’s draft positions are established. The first actual draft pick is at 5:45pm (sharp).
