Submitting a TR:   Submitting does not mean your TR is approved

Testing a TR:  Testing your PCs time and that of theNHLJL server is encouraged.  However, no tests submitted between 6:30pm and 9:00pm and no more than 3 tests in any one hour.

How to Trade:   When a team wants to trade, they fill out an online trade request form (re the trade type).  Once they click ‘submit’, a page displays their trade request info and a date/time stamp.  The other teams (now) will receive an emailed copy of the request.  Poolies are asked ‘not to reply’ to these type of emails.  edt automated notification of the request.  It is a ‘request’, which is received and then approved/disallowed by theNHLJL.  The (official) transaction is then posted on the RSPS-Ticker (website).  Immediately following any transaction posted on the ticker, the rsps-email-group is sent an email; subject: “RSPS Ticker Update” (no msg content).  Teams then know to check the ticker, if interested, else ignore it and check the ticker or transactions report, at another time (ignoring the email).
All trade requests are reviewed and approved/disallowed & posted on the ticker in under 24 hrs.  All reports (ie; transaction report) are updated after the ticker and usually before another 24 hrs goes by.  Regardless when anything is updated; if you have issue with the date & time of any trade request… remember that the date/time stamp appears on the trade-request-receipt.  This is the same record the theNHLJL log as an official record.
Note: Re-review your trade requests before sending, as a mistake on your part could affect your request or your additional requests or benefit another team’s request.

TRADE REQUESTS
RSPSelect TRADE REQUEST
Type A: between your team & the NHL
-  Fee is $1.50 per trade
-  Each trade is for 1 plyr for 1 plyr
-  Active Roster positions (max of 1g + 4d + 6f) must be maintained
-  Injured players on Active Roster cannot be traded directly back into the NHL
-  Players traded back to the NHL cannot be picked up for approx 11 days (see F/A report)
-  Further ref see Type C ** Open spot………
Type B: between RSPS team & RSPS team
-  Fee is $2:00 per trade per team (1plyr for 1plyr)
-  Fee is $3.50 per trade per team (2plyr for 2plyr)
-  Injured players can be traded
-  Both teams send an “in-trade-talks” email (no less than 36hrs prior to submitting an official trade request).  Teams send the email with the subject “in trade talks” and not another word is required.  This gives all teams ‘a heads-up’ of a possible trade between 2 teams, with no further info or particulars.  The 36hr window commences when the 2nd team sends their notice.   Teams keep their status of “in trade talks” for 7 full days.   If still considering past 7 days, they resend an “in trade talks” email.
-  More than 2 teams can be in trade talks.  If & when another team gets involved, the first thing they should do is send an email.
-  Neither team is obligated to make a trade because they send an “in trade talks” email.  Neither team is obligated to give any insight of their trade plans.
-  Both teams submit an official trade request, submitting them within 8 hrs of each other.  This then makes it official and teams cannot change their minds.
-  No more than 1 transaction with any 1 team in the season
-  Player positions must match when 1plyr for 1plyr; else if 2plyr for 2plyr the second pair need not match
-  The players’ total pts diff (1 & 1 or 2 & 2) cannot be greater than 14 [ ie TeamXX 1F/w35pts + 1D/w20pts = 55pts & TeamZZ 1F/w26pts + 1D/w26pts = 52pts…. result is 55 & 52 a difference of +/- 3 = less than 14 ]
-  Both teams must be within 45 points of each other
-  theNHLJL can disallow the trade if they suspect an alliance between teams [see appeal rule]
-  This trade type is not permitted after February 8, 7:30pm
Type C: Between Your 2 Rosters
-  Fee = $0.50 per trade
-  Each transaction can only involve 2 players
-  Active roster player-position ‘maximum’ of 1G + 4D + 6F can never be broken
-  ** Open spot on Minors Roster allows a team to sit an injured Active Roster player when  they do not have a same-position player to call  up from the Minors.  Following this, when  they submit a request, trading the player for a free agent, the FA goes directly to the  vacated spot on Active.  The theNHLJL consider this two transactions (Type-C & A).  Note:  With this player movement & trade the team can select any player from the minors to return  to NHL.
