1 Pick’em Series Pool … 2 Cards

Pick’em Series Pool

To Participate

- You enter (register) by submitting PSP Card #1.

- You pay entry fee or verify you’ve paid. See email address below Card #1 if using E-Transfer.

- PSP Pool fee is $15.00 per entry. Multiple entries accepted.

- Your entry fee covers both PSP Cards #1 and #2 and Card #2 update option.

Instructions

- This pool contains qty 2 PSP cards. Both cards must be completed before their respective deadlines.

- PSP Card #1 is for Round 1. You’ll select 8 winning teams in Round 1.

- You complete “your info” section (on Card #1). This info, with the exception of “Poolie name”, is never posted or shared.

- PSP Card #2 is for the remaining 3 Rounds. You’ll select 7 winning teams in total.

- In Round 4 (cup finals) you enter the series’ total # of goals. You earn points for how close you are to the actual total goals. This number is also used as a tie-breaker, if necessary.

  “10” is the default value.

- PSP Card #2 can be submitted and then updated at anytime (multiple times) before it’s deadline.

- Once confirmed, the deadlines for both cards will be posted on the PSP Central pages, so please check back often.

- Cards can be submitted online or by hardcopy.

- Hardcopies need a photo taken of the entry, which is then attached to an email or text.

- Email address &/or text-cell-number will be provided to you on the hardcopy.

Points

- You get 3 points for each correct winning team.

- Points are awarded for the Finals’ Round total goals, no matter which team wins. As follows…

… You get 4 points if you’re within 1 goal +/- (Round 4 series’ total goals).

… You get 3 points if you’re within 3 goals +/- (Round 4 series’ total goals).

… You get 2 points if you’re within 5 goals +/- (Round 4 series’ total goals).

… You get 1 point if you’re within 8 goals +/- (Round 4 series’ total goals).

- The Poolie(s) at top of the standings (highest number of points) win the Pool-Money.

- Standings will be posted/updated after Round 1. Then after each series in Rounds 2 & 3 and 4 (cup finals).

Tie-Breaker

- Your total number of goals entry, Round 4 (cup finals) series, will be used as tie-breaker in addition to awarding you additional points.

Reminders

- If you would like to receive a text message for the Card #2 deadline, let me know in the comments section of Card #1. A text reminder will be sent to you on the same day the Card #2 deadline is confirmed.

Note 1: Messages left in the comments’ field are not posted or shared. Only I see the comments.

Note 2: Requesting a reminder you agree to receive it via text msg, and not via email.

Prizes

- First Place Prize amount is relative to the number of participants.

- Pending the number of participants a 2nd Place prize will be included.

- Pending the number of participants the 3rd Place Poolie will be refunded $15.

- Prize info will be updated here on this page, after the number of entries (Poolies) is official.

- A $0 to $10 (max) admin fee is deducted. All the remaining Pool-Cash goes to the winners.

Third Place wins $ 15_ (ie; money back)

Issues, Errors, News

1- Card #1 (pool entry) deadline was updated, from April 19, 7:30 pm to April 19, 7:00 pm. This update was due to Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues game on April 19 being 6:00 pm, not 7:00pm as anticipated. This deadline update (from 7:30 to 7:00 pm) was made on April 17 at 8:30 am; on both the thenhljl website and future hardcopy's.

2- Reference standings table, section Overall Series Stats ‘TTL’ column removed to avoid confusion. Column is used in spreadsheet to auto-verify (check) other column values. In the standings’ table the column is redundant, therefore removed.  

3- Card #2 deadline was updated and posted on May 03 9:30 am. Card #2 Deadline is Monday May 05, 7:30 pm.
